At the age of 26, Andreas Caminada transformed a Graubünden castle into one of the most celebrated restaurants in the world. Two decades later, Schloss Schauenstein still shines with its three Michelin stars, guided by the vision of a chef who sees gastronomy as “a wonderful playground… that must be earned.”

From a childhood shaped by simple, local flavors to bold creations that reinvent our relationship with ingredients, Andreas Caminada has forged a singular path. His cuisine—innovative yet unpretentious—aims above all to surprise with precision: elevating a carrot or fennel, offering that unexpected “twist” that turns a taste memory into a new emotion.

The chef continues his journey with passion, supported by dedicated teams and a unique vegetable garden where local varieties blend with exotic species brought back from his travels. More than a restaurant, Schloss Schauenstein has become a stage where a symphony is endlessly rewritten between terroir, creativity, and excellence.
