Nestled in the countryside of Crispiano, in the picturesque region of the Cento Masserie, Masseria Quis ut Deus is a 1710 estate that has been restored and converted into a charming four-star resort. Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, dry-stone walls, and ancient trulli, the property preserves the character of Apulian rural architecture, offering a tranquil setting between the Murgia and the Itria Valley.
The complex is arranged around an open courtyard, featuring a two-story main building and several historic structures. It features 11 rooms, including the Suite dell'Ulivo and distinctive accommodations in the trulli, furnished with natural wood and equipped with private bathrooms, air conditioning, heating, and minibars.
The dining areas include an historic olive oil mill, featuring a wooden millstone and wooden presses, as well as additional indoor dining rooms and terraces for al fresco lunches and dinners. The historic chapel has been transformed into a room for relaxation and meditation.
Housed in the trulli that once served as a sheepfold, the spa features a Turkish bath, a Kneipp path, a massage area, a whirlpool tub with a waterfall, and spaces dedicated to wellness treatments. Outside, the infinity-edge pool is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, while the "Garden of Stones" offers a botanical trail dedicated to relaxation. The property is rounded out by a wooden gazebo with a garden for events and gatherings and a large parking lot.
The adjacent land includes arable fields, pastures, and an olive grove with 440 centuries-old trees; part of the wooded areas falls within the Gravine Regional Nature Park. The location allows easy access to some of the region's most renowned destinations, including Martina Franca, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Ostuni, and Taranto.
The presentation also outlines a proposed agritourism development featuring 15 ecolodges, a nature trail with fitness areas, and a farmhouse dedicated to the display and processing of organic products; however, the feasibility and permitting status of this project have yet to be verified.
