Suspended above the vineyards of Clarmont, like a contemporary line set upon the landscape, this architect-designed house was conceived as a continuous dialogue between light and horizon. Here, the sun traverses the spaces from morning till night, sculpting the volumes and revealing the materials as the hours pass.
To the east, the bedrooms capture the first rays of dawn. Awakening is to a view of the Alpine peaks, in a gentle and silent atmosphere. To the south, the living room opens through vast bay windows that seem to float above the vines. The view is breathtaking. The gaze sweeps across Lake Geneva from Villeneuve to Geneva, glides over the Alps, and rests on the silhouette of Mont Blanc. A vibrant, ever-changing, almost surreal panorama.
The house unfolds over three levels, offering a fluid and refined layout. One level has independent access, allowing for the possibility of a guest residence, a private space, or a separate configuration. The entire structure can also be reconfigured into three independent apartments, opening the way to a heritage and strategic interpretation of the site.
Outside, the atmosphere evokes grand wine estates. Discreetly integrated beneath the five parking spaces, ample storage has been created. At the foot of a centuries-old olive tree, the space was designed to host receptions and tastings in an intimate setting, overlooking the vineyards.
