Zermatt: every area is highly desirable. Picturesque alpine lanes weave around three main streets along the Vispa river, complemented by a vibrant nightlife, high-end shops and restaurants both in the resort and on the slopes, all set within an exceptional natural environment. Zermatt is truly one of the most beautiful resorts in the Alps.
Andermatt: the village centre, with excellent public transport connections, is prized for its traditional atmosphere and historic buildings. It is also home to some of the finest hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants, including The Chedi Andermatt. Alternatively, Andermatt Reuss is a recently developed neighbourhood offering modern, luxurious residences with extensive integrated services such as concierge. Peaceful, with magnificent mountain views, yet easily accessible from the centre.
Zermatt: authentic alpine chalets, spacious yet discreet, offering understated luxury and comfort.
Andermatt: a highly diverse real estate market – from luxury apartments to traditional chalets, holiday homes and investment opportunities. Options tailored to nearly every type of buyer.
Zermatt: clients seek an alpine retreat that combines discretion, tradition, sporting atmosphere and modern comfort, with views of one of the world’s most iconic peaks.
Andermatt: attractive pricing, accessibility, rental yield potential, infrastructure, resort development and sustainability.

The clientele is international, led by Americans, Canadians, Scandinavians, and Britons, who are mainly present in winter. In summer, Andermatt attracts a predominantly Asian clientele, particularly from India, China, and Thailand. Property purchases are generally reserved for Swiss nationals and foreign residents already established in Switzerland, subject to certain conditions.
Andermatt appeals above all to investors seeking high-quality opportunities and a sophisticated lifestyle close to nature and exclusive leisure activities. The resort attracts both investors and second-home owners, as well as active holidaymakers looking for an exceptional alpine retreat.
Remaining true to a respectful and authentic approach to tourism, Zermatt and Andermatt have followed the same course for decades. Their high levels of snowfall secure their attractiveness for many years to come.
Benefiting from several tax advantages, Andermatt is also exempt from the Lex Koller: foreign buyers and non-residents can purchase properties without special authorization. Since 2022, its ski area has been operated by Vail Resorts, granting Epic Pass holders full access to the resort.
