BARNES MORGES invites you to discover this exceptional Manor House where "Charm and Discretion" are the key words.
Historically built in the Morges region in the 15th century (the date on which its prestigious title of ‘Château’ was attested), today it is much more residential than medieval thanks to a careful renovation that respects the soul of this monument of yesteryear.
From the first glance, it is a discreet entrance that opens onto a bucolic panorama, with a marvellous park abundant with age-old trees (some are a hundred years old) and even a pretty view of the Alps and the Vaud countryside.
The building, with its undeniable character and cachet, has around 13 rooms spanning 700 m², with high ceilings and generous furnishings. The rooms are efficiently laid out and the materials used, such as the old parquet flooring, molasse and fireplaces, are in perfect harmony.
A spirit of freedom emanates from this unoverlooked green setting, which is naturally isolated by a stream, the surrounding wall, low walls and a forest. It's a real haven of peace covering around 27,000 m². A number of different viewpoints make for a dreamy escape, with multiple terraces, an access courtyard with a fountain and flower-filled areas.
Its assets of choice and integral parts of its value, its "dependencies":
- A 3-storey, 47m² Gothic tower (the only survivor of the original four) is available for guests, offering magical accommodation combining medieval features with modern comforts (small dining room, bedroom with en-suite shower room, sitting room). With a magnificent vaulted cellar that can be converted into a Carnotzet.
- A veranda/loggia with bay windows: a lovely, peaceful space for the summer.
- Caretaker's (or staff) accommodation in the left wing, on the first floor, on two levels with a bedroom, a spare room, a shower room, a kitchen and a lounge.
- A garage on the ground floor (under the accommodation in the left wing).
Facing south-west, an in-ground heated swimming pool (4.5 m x 12 m) is bordered by a terrace to enhance the outdoor leisure area. Poolhouse nearby (kitchenette, shower, WC) Practical: The driveway can accommodate several cars.
